How long does it take to fax a page?

As an older technology, faxing varies with the connection quality and, in some exceptional cases, the age of the equipment - very old fax machines tend to be much slower and are unable to negotiate higher speeds or baud rates. While our equipment is top class, we cannot guarantee that the other fax station is qualitatively adequate. In particular, 2400 baud takes 2:30 for incoming and 2:50 outgoing and 4800 takes 1:45 incoming and 1:50 outgoing, as summarized below:

24002 minutes 30 (2:50 O) seconds
48001 minute 45 (1:50 O) seconds
72001 minute 15 seconds
96001 minute
1200055 seconds
1440045 seconds
2880035 seconds
3360025 seconds

Most faxes are transmitted at the highest speed, which means 25, at most 45 seconds per page. To send a fax, email it to us in PDF, TXT, TIF, PNG, GIF or JPG format with the destination fax number in the subject line. To receive a fax at the number we have given you, just share it with the other party and then check your email - we will automatically send it your way as soon as their tranmission is complete.
