How can I best use more than one device?

If you have an Outgoing Only plan, you may install the service on as many hardware devices (ATAs) and softphones as you wish, as you can place any number of simultaneous outgoing calls as necessary, without restriction. However, if you have a phone number and want to be reachable, and more than one device is registered under the same account, there may be situations where not all devices ring on incoming call. If care is not taken, it may seem like the phone is no longer ringing.

Rather than keep multiple devices registered under the same set of credentials, registering each device with its own incoming number (DID) and making use of our Call Hunt / Ring Group feature would allow a finer grain tuning of this service to your needs.

For instance, if you have an ATA (home phone) and a smartphone and wish to use your account on both, you might want to install a softphone on your smartphone, then power off your ATA when you leave home and turn off your smartphone when you get home. If you cell phone provider allows it, you may set up unreachable call forwarding to go to your EZvoip.co number, and unreachable call forwarding on your EZvoip.co number to go to your smartphone number, ensuring that you never lose calls. This way, you will save your brain from microwave radiation when at home, and whomever calls you on your ezVoIP number will always be able to reach you. You may even stop giving away your cell phone number and rely solely on your VoIP number, if you wish.

If you have a spouse or somebody at home, you might want however to register a second phone number and account with us (it's usually less than $1/month). With two accounts you won't have to turn anything off and furthermore, you might be able to call each other for free, as calls within our network are always free.
